The series of activities continues with which, through the Council for the Advancement of Higher Education and strategic research within Economic Chamber of North Macedonia,  provides an opportunity for the affirmation of the career development of future academic citizens, their acquaintance with potential employers, but also with the opportunities that different sectors offer them on the labor market. 

In the period from April 22-26, the "Career Week of IBU" was organized by the International Balkan University,  which includes a series of events, sessions and workshops aimed at guiding students in their careers by introducing them to the perspectives of the labor market and the opportunities for career growth and development.

Welcome addressing were given by prof. Dr. Lutfi Sunar, rector of IBU, prof. Dr. Mevludin Ibish, vice-rector of IBU and Gjorgi Ristov, representative of the Career Center at IBU. Within the official opening of the career week, at the session titled "Research on the Macedonian labor market: opportunities and challenges", there was also an address by Mihailo Donev, M.Sc. President of the Council for the Advancement of Higher Education and Strategic Research, who said that students in their process of academic transformation should be aware of the demand on the labor market because that factor is an important determinant in the job seeking process. About 48.7% of vacancies require university level of education and most of them are in the following sectors: real estate sales, accommodation and food services, hospitality and recreation, manufacturing and administrative and support services. Donev told the students that education does not stop after graduation, lifelong learning, reskilling, upskilling and constant investment in new skills are important for career success, and soft skills and transferable skills are also important, which are equally important in every sector, as well as technical skills. which bring the application of ICT in every activity. 

As part of the Career Week, in the period from April 22 and 23, 2024, a Job Fair was held on the plateau of IBU, where twenty member companies of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia had the opportunity to present the employment possibilities and career development of graduates, while the freshmen had the opportunity to be informed about the possibility of realizing practical training, both during their studies and after completing their studies. The President of the Council for the Advancement of Higher Education, Mr. Donev, and the representative of the IBU Career Center, Gjorgi Ristov, visited all the companies' stands and discussed with the companies' representatives about the potential for cooperation and the opportunities that each of the companies offer. The two-day job fair was attended by: Halkbank AD Skopje, Halk Insurance, NLB Banka AD Skopje, Sparkasse banka AD Skopje, Uni Banka AD Skopje, FD Flex Credit DOO Skopje, FD SN Finansii Bitola, Lidl North Macedonia, EVN Macedonia, Triglav Insurance, Croatia Insurance, TAV Airports, Adient Seating Stip, Dauti-Komerc, Ramstore, Be-Da Logistics, Slice, Mikrosam Prilep, Koding Gorska and Maliqi Group.

The Council for the Advancement of Higher Education and Strategic Research continues in the next period in cooperation with universities to realize events that aim to bring students closer to future employers, through a series of activities that lead to greater involvement of the private sector in higher education through the realization of practical training, open days and holding lectures, with which the Council justifies the goals and strategic determinations of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia.
